Sometimes I just need something to do that is “different”, so I created a reserve gas tank that holds about 4 gallons of gas. It sits nicely up under the body between the frame rails. It’s set up so that it automatically fills with each fill up. If the main tank runs out of gas I can pump gas from the reserve to the main tank by a fuel pump that is activated by one of the auxiliary switches on the dash. I also put in a “Stahlbus Drain Valve” so I can pull gas directly from the tank if I need to transfer it to another vehicle or just need access to gas. Attached are a few pictures of the setup.
