Replacing the Red Interior Trim

Ive seen several comments about replacing the rubicon red dashboard trim with mopar parts 6AC241R3AA & 6AC261R3AD (which are a nice black with red stitch). Anyone have luck doing this on a 2021 JL? When I check compatibility on the part with 2021 it says it will not work, but does with the 2020 and 2019? Didnt think there was enough of a difference to make that true.

It does seem that almost everyone is sold out and backordering those 2 parts. Maybe there is an updated code Im missing?

I have mine on order, should be a direct bolt on for a 21. I think it looks much better than the red plastic.

Order dark saddle interior and all the red interior accents go away, from the factory. That’s what I did.

I did the dash swap on August 2020.. i did post about this somewhere on the forum.
I got the "Kit" from allmoparparts attached an image with part numbers.

But here are the pictures, they did hold up great, but my cat did scratch the leather a bit lol.

There is no part difference for any of the JLs - this should work fine for 18-21. These, as well as the caramel stitching ones (color match for the 392) have been on backorder for months.

Overall this is a pretty easy swap, doing it the first time I'd expect 1-2 hours, the hardest part is transferring the airbag module to the passenger side. (and that's just hard because it has a number of tight clips that hold in it) It is really only a dozen screws and clips holding everything on and as they say, installation is the opposite of removal.

I have my black with red stitching dash kit for sale here if anyone interested - I held onto it after selling my rubicon thinking that my next jeep may have the same, but now have a caramel stitched set on order.
