I had this experience when the dealer removed my seat to fix a popping issue. Basically they scratched the paint and molding. I was told to install the molding that goes near the door sills closest to the seat belt they would have to remove the seat again. Geeze I was hoping it was easier that that. Anyone know if I move the seat forward enough I can change this myself. I have the parts just didn't have time for them to install today.

I cant help with your question, but if the dealer caused that damage I would not be lifting a finger to fix their mistake, I would make them do it.

This is off topic, but what side steps are those? They are the nicest looking ones I've seen yet. I also agree with James, the dealership should be doing all of the work to repair the damage they caused.

Ok I was able to replace both from and rear pieces without removing the seat. There is a cut out for the seatbelt. I thought I might have to remove the large star bolt that holds the seatbelt but the slit made for easy work.

I would have taken it back to the dealer but they jacked it up so bad the first time even 100% better would still be a disaster.

15 minutes of time, saved 3.15 in gas heading to dealer, and the possibility of having to repaint again.
