Replacing jlur starter

have anybody replace the starter? After unbolting i don't have much space to take out the starter. Hopefully i can get some advice to take it off. 2018 wrangler jlur

I think mine is going out on my 2018 JLUR. I looked under and I can reach the two bolts, but don't have the proper tools to unscrew it due to tight space.

Mine is in the shop at the moment to replace the starter. According to them the driver side exhaust manifold has to be removed. Mine is a 2 door 3.6, may be different for you.

It is quite involved if you go by the book. Apparently the starter can be partially disassembled to clear that small space and the new ones are a lower profile and go right in. There is another thread with the YouTube link.

Good to know, thanks. I would have done it myself but was out of town. Had to have it towed.
