Replacement LED Bulbs for Std Brake Lights

Has anyone replaced their std (non-LED) brake light bulbs with brighter LEDs? I am looking for a good recommendation. or are people just replacing the entire housing with LED units?

If you use either of these for turn signals, you'll need to wire in a resistor.
