Hey all,
2021 jlu sahara 2.0. within the last 2 or 3 weeks I'll get a very intermittent buzzing sound that's coming from behind the dash, typically within the first 10-15 mins of start up and usually only from a cold start. I'm including a video, it's right in the beginning of the video despite my best efforts every time i tried to get a better/clear video it would stop. There doesn't seem to be anything else happening when the sound goes off so I'm having a hard time tracing back to what it might be.
For the last 2 or 3 months I've also been having some other strange electrical symptoms that i haven't been able to figure out but I'm assuming is a loose connection behind the steering wheel. While driving I'll have the ACC warning light briefly pop up on the dash but it flickers vs staying lit which is why I'm assuming it's a loose connection. When that light comes on i lose all power functions on my steering wheel, all lights go out in it and no buttons work. If I'm using ACC it will sometimes disengage but as soon as the light's come back on i can resume with no issue. These events are only seconds at a time.
At first i was thinking clock spring but it will happen with or without moving the steering wheel. I can be going straight on the highway with no steering wheel input and still get the same symptoms with flickering acc light etc and then it won't happen for miles. There is no pattern i can find.
I'm wondering if the buzzing and ACC issues are related? In terms of troubleshooting the only thing I've checked is to make sure all fuses are seated and nothing seemed out of place. Including pictures and video for reference! Thanks
