First off, has anyone started doing mods for phone holders in their 2024s? I really like the Quadlock cases and mounting systems; but, the mounting pieces seem to be metric and don’t jive with the BulletPoint ball connectors. What is everyone using for phone mounts and has anyone attempted to build a hybrid system using Quadlock and BulletPoint hardware?

Secondly, has anyone, yet, figured out what this raised piece is on the top of the non-4XE 2024s is? Does it actually serve a purpose? For note, I have a 2024 JLUWXR with the Convenience & Tech packages.

Gator, thanks for the suggestions. I have been looking for something like this to bridge the two different solutions together. I like the idea of the Quadlock case and mount, mainly, because I am concerned with a regular magnetic holder not being strong enough for going off-road.

Bulletpoint will go perfectly with Wynona's big brown beaver. Personally I love both...

Appreciate all the feedback, from everyone. So, does anyone know what that piece is on the dash though? It seems like a pointless design, unless it has some purpose I don’t know about.

2021 JLUR. I wanted wireless Android Auto and "wireless" charging and no holes or splices. Everything is sourced from #$% Amazon because there are no stores anymore.

This is probably more than some folks will spend or want to do but I'm a tinkerer so this is how I have fun.

* 12V power adapter plugs goes between the factory wiring harness & the 12V socket. [link] $18.00
* 12V socket gets powered by the power adapter [link] $8.99 for two
* Car charger adapter plugs into the 12V socket. Use a little electrical tape to make sure it doesn't wiggle its way out. [link] $9.98 for two
* Lisen MagSafe Car Mount Charger sticks onto the dash with double-sided foamy tape. Wipe the spot with alcohol first, peel & stick, don't touch for 24 hours. [link] $49.99 for one
* A good USB-C wire to plug into the bottom of the charger. I don't remember if it comes with one but I like to use Anker USB wires [link] $12.99 for two
* Motorola MA-1 to provide wireless Android Auto goes in the armrest [link] 59.99
* The charger comes with a ring I was able to stick onto the back of my Pixel phone that holds it on the charger.

Everything but the charger gets buried behind the HVAC controls and the wire will squish when you snap the panel back on. As a bonus, you can run a separate USB into the glove box.

Now all I have to do is get in the car and place the phone on the charger. The magnet is strong enough for typical on-road driving, even in NYC.

...and yes, I'll get right on that dust situation.
