Rear window exploded

On way home from dinner last night my tailgate window exploded. It exploded outwards. Glass all over bumper and spare tire. Left ear still ringing from explosion of glass. Contacted Jeep last night. Had dealer take pictures and send to Jeep. Contacted Jeepcares on site. Have not heard back. 2022 jluxr 18k miles

The jeep plugged its nose and blew really hard?

I think we need more information about the circumstances. Were the windows down? The defroster on? Has it been having trouble shutting or lining up? Was your firearm pointed toward it?

It was 76 degrees yesterday. Had the ac set @63 with low fan. No defrost, and windows up. Driving 45 mph. No problem with doors.

Just out of curiosity, any chance that you have a tailgate table installed - or anything blocking the tailgate vent?

Spare tire on rack jolted during a bump creating stress on the glass.?

No table or things blocking vent. Spare is firmly on mopar reinforced tailgate.

Sometimes, during the manufacturing of the glass, there can be insufficient internal stress relief while the glass cools.

the hatch mounted spare tire is a horrible idea by jeep, if you offroad after a while you will see separation on the body welds in front of the hatch, its why i went to a spare tire swing where the weight is off the back hatch. As for the window just exploding, i doubt, not saying you know what happened, but 99.999% of rear window breaking its caused by a person
