Rear view mirror

Long story short my 10 year old pulled the whole mirror assembly out of the roof. I was able to snap in the mount to the roof but unable to push the mirror onto the ball mount (where the sos/assist buttons are)


Off chance that anyone had to resnap in there mirror and have any tips?

Owners are flipping the mirror 180 degrees to install it higher.
