I upgraded my shocks to rancho rs 5000, when I bought my 2019 4 door new. Jeep is stock besides and I frequently tow my 18ft boat 2200lbs on a brand new load rite trailer 500lbs. Jeep tows trailer great very happy with it. My rear rancho shocks are rusting and generally look terrible after 20k-ish in miles. While I am happy with the performance of the ranchos, I was wondering if anyone is using something else towing a comperable load?

Is your issue excessive squat? I think you want to be looking at new springs.

I really dont have any issues. I just dont like how the ranchos are looking, they perform great. Just wanted to see if anyone had another suggestion, other wise I will probably just replace my ranchos. To your point do you have a spring you would recommend?

If the shocks are still good just rattle can them with a rust inhibitor paint. Then you can add air bags in your springs and run the fill valve to your back bumper.

This way you can give a little extra capacity to the rear and take some of the load off the springs.

On my old Grand Cherokee I towed a pop up camper with stock shocks and springs but added the airbag inside the springs to stop the squat.
