Rear ended today

so my daughter and I were on our way to soccer when we were rear ended at a stop light. Luckily both ok and that’s most important. She’s only 4 so I almost flipped out on the guy. I’m sore but worried about the Jeep. At first glance it looked ok but he shoved us forward about 6-8 ft and the tire mount is bent, crease in tailgate and what worries me most is I was unable to get the jack and tools out of that compartment bc it’s bent in there from the bottom of spare denting that portion of the body. Attached are some photos tell me what you guys think.

Fit a rear view dash cam. I also keep plenty of room in front of me and check the rear camera to see if the car behind is slowing down or not so I can get out of the way (having a Wrangler helps with this).

A Jeep comes off a factory line and it'll be fixed or replaced. Glad you are both fine.

Ouch Just make sure you guys are ok by seeking out a doctor. Sometimes, injuries don't show their ugly heads for days, weeks, months, and years. Really glad you are OK. I think I would have flipped out regardless
