I’m stumped…. I have searched prior threads and haven’t been able to find exact info. Does someone have an actual picture of which bolt I can ground to for a powered sub anywhere near the rear cargo area on drivers side or back seat on driver side? I have the ground location diagram but I can’t make any sense of it. One of the ground bolts next to the rear seat marked on the diagram looks to already be used as a ground for factory wiring. I can’t use 1 ground bolt for 2 ground wires right ??‍♂.
Can I not just ground to the rear seat bolt? That would be easiest the easiest option of that is doable/safe.
Any help on finding a good bolt to ground to would be awesome. Thanks!

I’m assuming your powered sub isn’t over 1500 watts and that you’re using 4awg grounding wire.

With that said, pick a spot very close to your sub (my grounding wire was 10” on my old Yukon), sand the paint and primer off (about an inch in diameter), and drill in a self tapping screw in the ring terminal of the ground wire (make sure nothing is below that you’ll drill into). Drill in a second self tapping screw to lock it in place. I painted over the ring terminal/screw with rubberized coating to seal the deal of any moisture (and the underside as well).

Thanks! No the sub Isn’t anywhere near 1500 watts and the ground wire that came with the wiring kit is actually 8 gauge (same gauge as power wire). I’m guessing I’m good with an 8 gauge ground? I’ll just do this and screw in my own ground instead of taking off panels and going on a wild goose chase to find a factory bolt. Thanks so much for your input.
