So I took my Jeep into the shop for a number for little things before warranty expired- I had a little chirp in the suspension that I asked to get looked at, well somehow they heard a noise in the rear end and evidently it was the differential bearings(?). They said there were metal shavings all through the oil and they're getting that swapped.

I have a 2018 with 35k miles and zero modifications. Road tires as well and no off-roading.

I've also struggled with the "death wobble" since 7k miles. Is there any possibility that it's related?

Also check that diff oil!

I plan on doing my diff oil at 15K miles or after my next trip i two weeks. any ways im guessing you have the LSD dana 44 short on your Sahara. its a known cause that the friction plates are wearing quicker than expected and leaving debris in the axle causing bears and seals to go out

No LSD actually- just the standard one actually. Probably the same issue I'd imagine. Any Cause for concern after the repair?

The bearings on the rear differential went out on my ‘19 after two weeks. It was reapaired and trouble-free afterwards.

should be all good to go. I only thought is changing the axle oil every 15K miles. 30 bucks for peace of mind

Good to know, thank you! I'll certainly be adding that to my plans!
