Just picked up a 2024 jlu rubicon in may..and building this out for the overlanding trips, mild to moderate rock crawling trails, badge of honor trails
So the first thing I did was upgraded rims and tires lolā¦loved the bead locks I had on my ā18jlu and loved my maxxis tires..ran into hiccups trying to snag trepadors so I went with nitto ridge grapplers and kmc grenades in a black/machined finish
Still up in the air with lights on my cowlā¦thinking Baja designs lp4āsā¦or lp6āsā¦but do I want amber up to top or clearā¦at least I made up my mind and put the mopar cowl light mounts onā¦look disgusting
Those nitto tires were absolute trashā¦.sold those things and scooped up 37x12.50r17 Mickey Thompson Baja boss mtāsā¦after picking the brains of genright over my visits to their shopā¦and reviews on YouTubeā¦this was the move to makeā¦kinda shocked that mickeys tech department suggested a driving psi of 23 ā¦but definitely donāt put your psi to 37(youāll have a seizure on the road)
Scooped up a mopar tailgate table from offer up(couldnāt beat the price)ā¦and manā¦this things legit and will make my camping experiences soo much betterā¦definitely sucked using my 45 quart yeti cooler as a do all tableā¦now this tailgate table can be my eating/prep table all while having a nice drink with my chick.
Idk where you all go on your trips but I love how handy these 2 things areā¦.from digging out a fire pitā¦chopping woodā¦helping a cop on the side of a highway put out a brush fire(yes..a California sheriff deputy and I played firefighter..and really considered becoming wildland firefighters after that)ā¦.is a MARINE CORPS issued E-Tool by gerberā¦and a gerber mini hatchet.
Iāve had fabtechās cargo rack from my last jluā¦love how robust it is. But Iām thinking of going a different route with this rubicon buildā¦so if youāre interested and live close to Nevada hit me up.
