Feels very solid. While the design makes for a difficult install, it also prevents the piece from moving at all, and the metal is very thick.
The problem for me was that bundle of wire in your first photo was installed father forward, blocking the hole that the bolt needs to go through, and it did not want to move. But I couldn't see what was blocking the plate from going into position, as I was standing on my head in a dark foot well...Just installed this on my JLUR. Only took like..15-20 minutes...if that. Was pretty easy to install, actually.
I felt like the “worst” part about the install is that it’s just physically awkward to complete. Where it goes isn’t exactly easy to get to and be comfortable while doing it. But it’s easy enough and works great!
Probably depends on your seat position. I'm 6'1" and sit with the seat all the way back. I first installed the MORE in the lowest (closest to the floor) position, and then moved it to the middle, finally liked the highest position best. The first two were too far away to be functional for me. I personally prefer that when my foot is on the pedal, it takes the pressure off my hamstring on long drives.
I have a manual and don't think there's room either, though I'd love one.
