Is it strong enough to brace yourself against? I'm the shortest guy in the world and I use dead pedals to adjust my seating position all the time. Especially when I'm trying to piss into a bottle, I would use my dead pedal to get my body straighter.Just installed this on my JLUR. Only took like..15-20 minutes...if that. Was pretty easy to install, actually.
I felt like the “worst” part about the install is that it’s just physically awkward to complete. Where it goes isn’t exactly easy to get to and be comfortable while doing it. But it’s easy enough and works great!

Truthfully I don’t think there’s room for another pedal with a manual, although I admit I have not seen one.Do they make anything like this for the manual? The Wrangler's lack of a dead pedal or foot plate of some sort has always bothered me (when I've driven Wranglers before). I'm not the tallest guy, and I hate it when my left foot is just floating around in space.
My Xterra and my FR-S both have dead pedals standard, and I love them. It's a comfortable place to rest your left foot, plus it works as a brace for when you want to readjust yourself in the seat.
In my Xterra, I also appreciate it when off roading, as I can brace myself in bumpy-bouncy situations. I also use it to push myself up to get a better look at nearby obstacles. In my FR-S, it's a handy brace for cornering hard to the right. (See pics below: FR-S top, Xterra bottom)
It's good to know others also appreciate this simple feature -- whether in an auto or manual.

Are you saying that there isn't enough room to the left of the clutch pedal on the JL for a dead pedal with the manual trans?Place to rest your left foot when driving an auto transmission vehicle.
