how is the power without regearing?
It is amazing. It still has plenty of power. The 8 speed makes all the difference. I can't imagine what it will be like when I do regear.

I JLU
Finally - I was able to get the spare mounted on the tailgate!
I had put the Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement Bracket and the Rough Country Relocation Bracket on a while back, but the tire did not set against the rubber snubbers due to the shallower back spacing of the new wheels. So this weekend, I found some Daystar Extended Bumpers for the tailgate and whoala - it worked! No rattles - no bouncing!

Are you happy with the extended bumper, I read some bad reviews mon amazon and decided not to go with them. If your still please I may reconsider. My wife and I have a similar JL. Check out her page @thornhilljl on Instagram. Love your jeep. Thanks for posting everything for all to see.

Thanks, glad you are enjoying it. I have been following @thornhilljl for a while now!
As for the bumpers - they work great for me. I have had them on for well over 15K miles, on and off road, and they are still tight and holding the tire nicely.

Do you have any frame rubbing at full lock with the 38's and 4.5" backspacing? I'm looking at doing a similar combo but didn't want to loose any steering radius.

No, I have absolutely no frame rubbing at full lock. I do have just a little rubbing on the drivers side lower control arm. I have never felt it or heard it rub, so it can't be much of a rub, but I do have just a bit of paint worn off. If I was to do it again, I would probably go with 4.00 or 4.25 BS. But only for a bit wider stance and I think it looks a little better.
