was an ‘18 Rubicon Mojito! now a boring Mazda
i know the rubicon has bigger brakes and thicker axles compared to what the jk had. What else is done to it that makes it made for the larger tires?
I’m asking this because I want to know what can I expect wear and tear on as a result of larger tires? What deteriorates as a result of larger tires?
If I choose to keep the biggies and regear, I want to know what I’m in for.
I know maybe switching to ko2 instead of Nittos would save some weight which I’m sure would be beneficial.

add the new fender style on the JL to your list also, that gives it more clearance for larger tires.

On top of being stronger, It actually has wider axles than the JK to prevent rubbing of larger tires.

Your post doesn't mention how big is big. 35's are pretty common and probably wouldn't affect anything too much. 37's require more lift and adjustments to the spare tire carrier (if you're running the spare).

Here's an interesting (but probably not very helpful) detail of the upgraded Rubicon axles.
