Based on ya'lls feedback on the needed 3rd strip of tape. Here is what I did to my daughter's JL this afternoon. The Quadratec sill guards are WAY better than the Mopar ones.

After reading on this forum about the weather seal having a small gap I checked my front doors. From the inside I can see light coming in through a small gap at the front of the sill guards. You have to look across to the other side and if you do you'll see a gap about 1/4" big.

I just trimmed the upper part a tad and this gap went away.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Installed mine (2dr. JL) no light coming through the doors' weatherstripping and fit great. Agree about a small 3rd strip of tape would be a good addition where the edge turns up into the cabin, but small issue I think.

Great job Quadratec!

Was in a car wash today and noticed leaks at the front of the front doors. Will need to modify them as well I guess.

I just purchased the Rugged Ridge Entry Guards and I believe the fit is almost identical to the Quadratec's. I have yet to install them but may need to trim them as well.

Solved my problem. Used a little Coax Seal at the front end and let it mold to the door seal. No more light or leaks.

Do you have any photos you could post of what you did?
Coax Seal is a mallable rubber type material used for sealing coax connectors from weather. I just took a small pice (about a half an inch), balled it up and pressed it down just in front of the sill guard on the edge. When i closed the door, it formed to the gap. Not much to see.

The gap is caused by the flat front edge of the door sill where it crosses over the the edge of the sill. Here is a picture of the front edge of the sill protector with the piece of Coax Seal molded to the door seal. No more leaks with this fix.
