Decided that since my spare weighed almost 130 pounds and the likelihood that I would I would be able to wrestle it off of the Jeep, by myself, in the event of a flat time around town was virtually zero. And since the included scissor jack can't raise the Jeep high enough with the 2" inch lift kit and 37" tires to change a tire, I would be at the mercy of AAA and/or Uber in the event of a flat anyway. Why not shed some weight. I will hoist the spare into the way back area if I take a road trip or when I go off road, but on a daily basis no need to carry it around.
As a result, off came the spare tire, off came the Mopar hinge reinforcement kit, off came the Rough Country oversize spare relocation bracket, and the Artec license plate kit. Close to 180 pounds of "stuff" (all for sale by the way in the Members Marketplace section of the forum).
The stance of the Jeep changed a bit with the eight removed, the rear sits higher, and man does it accelerate faster too!
