Hello everyone-
I just upgraded my rims and tires to 33x12.5x18 with a .75" RC Level kit. Trouble is, now when I go into reverse, the proximity sensors goes off. I was under the impression that this issue could happen with bigger tires like 35s and up but not on 33s. Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, what is the solution.

Thanks for any suggestions!

@nbtchicago; I haven’t upgraded wheels and tires yet, so I haven’t had the issue. But I have seen others who have had the issue. Theoretically this can happen with any size tire provided the offset of the wheel is sufficient. I’d say it sounds like your new wheels and tires are much wider than stock and therefore are in the “view” of the sensors. The only solutions would be to either move the spare or move the sensors...and I don’t know of any kits for the latter, so I’d guess a spare relocation kit is in your future.

I believe you can turn off the sounds. The on screen warning should still appear so you could use that in place of the sounds.
