I have a 2024 Sport S 4xe and found some of the Sahara plastic side steps nearby going for only $50. I installed them on it without too much difficulty but I did make one error. There are two types of connectors. There are 3 larger screws that attach it to the body and 6 nuts/washers. The nuts/washers twist onto screws that are attached to the steps and fixed in place. Unfortunately, I goofed on one of them and tightened the plastic fixed side and broke it off. The step still seems very stable with the 3 screws and 5 of the 6 other connections, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on fixing this. I think I'd have to drill out the hole there and attach a different screw with likely a larger head to keep it from going through, but I'm not sure that would work. Anyone familiar enough with the part to give any advice?

I attached pictures from the instructions of the little part that broke.

I've used a Dremel to cut a busted stud off of a bracket and replaced it with a bolt, works fine.
