Hi
New guy here..
Just sharing that when I pulled out the drivers rear tail light at the bottom was a stack of wet leaves and tree seeds/pods (dont know what they're called) but the point is that it was jammed with cr@p. Holding that moisture would have created rust without a doubt.

Took me an hour to clear because the space is tight and the shopvac will not go it, so I had to put a wire on the drill and mushed the leaves to powder then using the shop vac and the leaf blower I finally cleared all that. I checked the other side and there was nothing. Who knows where the previous owner drove to have all those leaves fly into that space. Must have been years of driving around trees..

Look at the picture, I added the arrows where I found the wet leaves.

Good luck!

Thanks for sharing. I fill every nook and cranny in my Jeeps tub and frame with Fluid Film. The body I do every other year and the frame is every fall. I’ll remove bolts, lights and plugs to get the spray in the body. I spray up drain holes as well.

It smells for a bit but does a great job at rust prevention.
