Having an issue where my power top will not open, seems to be 'stuck' in the (fortunately) closed position.

This is just out of factory warranty, of course, so I'm trying everything I can before biting the bullet on a diagnosis/repair at the local Jeep dealer. We can short circuit the 'Power Tops Are Issues Waiting to Happen' discussion please - I felt the exact same way when we were looking at Jeeps but the wife wanted the top and I wanted the Jeep. Sometimes that's how it goes for us married fellas.

Jeep details:
21 Sahara 4xe
23k Miles

The issue:
I was out yesterday, the top was operating normally as it has been since I got the thing about a year ago. When I got home I tried to run the calibration described in the manual. It's supposed to re-sync the motors if you are having issues with getting the top to close i.e. one side of the top is 'ahead' of the other which can lead to closing issues or so I assume. To be clear I wasn't having any real issues I was just doing it to do it because I like to fiddle with things. The process is supposed to be - hold the close button for 10 seconds, which puts it into calibration mode, then hold the close button while the top opens and completely closes. The top never opened after holding the close button for 10 secs. Now it won't open at all - if you press open it flashes a message on the dash: One Touch unavailable hold button to open. Like a quick flash message and that's it. No matter what buttons I press or for how long the thing won't open.

What I've done so far:
Tried the calibration process multiple times including a different process I found on YouTube
Checked harness at the motors and gate to make sure no pinching/loose connections
Disconnected/reconnected 12v battery
Reset the Uconnect interface (likely nothing to do with it but hey why not)

Before I order another switch from Mopar and swap that out I thought I'd post here and see if anyone else has any ideas. After a switch swap I'll be out of ideas and will take it to the dealer.

Are the fuses ok? F73 and F74.

Maybe disconnect the battery(ies - make sure you also disconnect the aux battery) for awhile to clear whatever issue it thinks it has?

True try this also, disconnecting the 12v fixed my misbehaving radiio.

The 4xe does not have the aux battery though, just the main 12v.

Maybe look at this video in case you missed a step in the recalibration process.

I'd check the fuses. With wi-tech you can see if the top open/close button is being pressed in the BCM data readout. I'd suggest taking it to the dealer if your fuses are fine before throwing parts at it.

So, I was able to resolve this - I forgot to mention that I’d checked the 2 fuses that control the top motors but I hadn’t checked them ALL since I first did when I bought it last summer as advised in this forum. Sure enough, a few were loose again. Pushed em all the way in and bang it started working right away. Not 100% convinced that was the issue and don’t have a code reader to verify but either way you were right and it worked after that.
