Too many to pick through. Thought I would share this one since it sort of shows the stark contrast between NW Iowa and the Mountains of CO. Lake Alta in Colorado. We were lucky enough to have a thunderstorm one night whilst there. The thunder echoing off the mountains was amazing! Of course we had to JP to get there

I am blessed I have done Holland lake/falls many times. I have two buddy's that have cabins on Holland lake. there are are hikes in the area that are actually better if you can believe it. One being Rumble creek/Lake. I have photo somewhere but most of my good photos were lost in a computer crash...and I was not smart enough to have saved them. I love snow shoeing and have actually shoed most of the ways to the falls. I need to find those photos. the shoeing photos below are only a few miles from my house.

There is a ton of stuff to do in Montana. The Holand Lake trail was recommended to me by a fellow forum member. We camped on top of a mountain south of Holland lake and I caught this view from the mountain top at camp.

I was born here and after over 65 revolutions around the sun still find stuff in my backyard that never gets old. this was a couple days ago a few miles from my door driving and then another 5 or so hiking..it was foggy down low and about 1000' or so of climbing you are up above the smog..

Many incredible views are just a short bike ride from my house. And even more just a 20 minute drive away.

This area has many problems, but I'm still convinced that I live in paradise.

Our group of friends spend a week every year up in the San Juans running our Jeeps all over the place, but we always set aside at least one day for a great hike. In 2022, we hiked the Island Lake/Ice Lake loop with the aspens turning. Worth every hard, uphill step. Cold beer and a Silverton funnel cake were our rewards.

It's great to see so many wonderful photos! The vastness of the world makes me excited!

I also want to share some natural landscapes from the other side of the world, hope you like it!

This is our trip to the western highlands at the beginning of this year. The highest altitude we went was 14000ft. We experienced altitude sickness, headaches, and lethargy, but I think seeing these beautiful scenery made it all worth it!
