Possible to change navigation routing options?

Is it possible to change how my Nav system routes you? It seems to me the JEEP nav system tries to take every side road possible instead of freeways and main roads--highly frustrating. And unlike any other GPS software, i cannot find how to set preferences to use main roads,etc..

There are two things that I know of you can do to choose which route options you want to include and whether you want the fastest, the shortest, or the most economical route.

For route type options, go to the Nav Settings and choose "Guidance", then "Route Options". From there you can choose the following:

For selecting Time, Distance, or Eco, enter your destination and choose "Route To".

Then select alternatives and choose between the three options.

thanks!!! --i have never bothered to look at alternatives button and feel like it does not always show it--i assumed like most other GPS software, somewhere under route options it would allow for fastest, shortest, etc..

If carplay could send directions to the instrument cluster i would never use the jeep nav again.
