I tried looking up the codes here on the Diesel form and couldn't find an answer.

A week ago, my dashboard said "check electronic throttle system," coolant temp went to cold, and my radiator fan kicked on. Drove it home, parked it, and started back up, and I just got a P0118 code—nothing on the dash about the Electronic throttle system. Driving normally with the engine light on for 30 min, then it says to recheck the electronic throttle system. Reran the report while the car was in limp mode with little throttle response, and I got a U040100 code with the P0118. Is this a common issue where the thermostat goes out, or is it a throttle body issue? Thank you.

When was the last time you changed your battery? I hate to keep beating the same dead horse every time this comes up, but a weak battery should always be the first thing to look at when you have a bunch of codes come up, especially in different areas of the vehicle. Modern sensors are very sensitive to low voltage

It's always a good idea to start with checking the battery health and state of charge as that can cause all sorts of odd problems to pop up that are phantom effects of voltage issues.

If your batteries are properly charged and in good health yet the fault code persists, see below. Of note is the throttle warning is a normal result of a P0118 fault.

I replaced the battery about a month ago. Did the aux delete. Starts up strong. but I can check the voltage of it again.

Thanks, Ill prop end up just changing the Coolant Sensor, it has a brand new Optima battery in it. Changed it about a month ago and did the aux delete. Ill check the voltage of the battery again to confirm.

Any updates?

Do you have rodent problems in your area?

All of these faults seem to be electrically based. I kind of wonder If you didn't have a rat or something chew through a wire?
