Yes, this is a serious question.

Has anyone used an owl decoy or similar to prevent birds from befouling your interior when you're parked with the top off?

If anything I figure it might be a nice alternative to the ducks.

Owl decoys were quickly ignored because they don’t move. I hung 2 Owl boxes in trees and soon had quite a crop of Owls eliminating the ground squirrels that ate my 4R’s ~$5K wire loom ? . I now have Owl pellets and sh!t ? ?

I wonder if you but them on a post and then set the posts in the holes for the freedom panel screws. if the posts are small enough, perhaps breezes would make them move enough.

Another option is a sunscreen. I am bald and need one to not burn my head and I would rather not always wear a hat. I feel that I still get the breeze and sun with the top down.

I wonder if something as simple as a seat cover (the ass part) with a fox face, predator eyes, or something like that would work ?

I have an owl decoy hanging by a string at the entrance to the carport I park in at work and while it initially seemed to scare the birds away for the first year, they eventually became used to it being there and once again seem to enjoy hanging around there and shitting on my vehicles.

Didn't have a topless vehicle at the time we got it, but was more concerned with just trying to keep the daily dose of bird shit off the paint.

Ah, I want even thinking in terms of parking at home. I was thinking more along the lines of something to put up on the sport bar when I'm out and about and need to park. I figure that might get around the problem of the birds getting accustomed to it being in the same place at least.

Think you need some sort of movement for it to be effective. Iirc, we originally put up a stationary owl decoy with wings down that didn't scare away the birds at all, then later put up the hanging owl with spread wings that worked for a little while.

To mount it to the sport bar with any movement, you'll probably need to shove a giant bobble head spring up its arse and then attach that to a mount.

Though at some point I'd be wondering how much effort vs success I'm getting by mounting and unmounting an owl to the bar versus just strapping a small tarp over the top with some bungee cords (which might also protect against some light rain). Would still be an interesting project to try and find out.

Did you know that a rattlesnake can do a backflip over an extra large dog igloo ? A head shot from a garden hose is how I found out. ? Unfortunately- the Father I L got his first helicopter ride after the small local hospital in snake county had just one dose of anti-venom . ? (different snake)

Bet I could get away with driving in the carpool lane too with such a regal passenger. Who's gonna pull me over? ?
