Hello everyone.

My 15 year old was helping me by backing out of the garage....he failed to realize the passenger side door was open. He was going very slow, so I heard the creaking (about three small "snaps/creaks"). He stopped, pulled up - everything seems to be working (door locks, windows etc...)

I see no damage and feels okay - it overextended maybe 3 inches. Should I be concerned about the door (not his driving abilities) or do you think it's fine? Never seen this kind of thing happen.

Thoughts and be kind - he's a good kid :)

Check the retention strap and the bar that connects the door to the frame...sounds like nothing too bad happened.

AND I have 3 teens....these types of things are expected when learning to drive, etc. It's why insurance is high on them!!
