I bought the Oracle dual function (Amber/white) lights for the Oracle flush Mount taillights.
I extended the wires from both “Amber” lighting wires and tied them together and then ran 18g to the front passenger footwell. I tapped into aux 4 switch and everything works. However, Aux 4 also controls my rear bumper mounted Baja Design lights. Since the Oracles are true amber and the BD are more yellow, I want to separate them and have them on their own switches. All my aux switches are used so I would like to just add a discrete rocker switch near the front glove box.
can I get a basic rocker switch, use the ignition wire that is located within the aux bundle to power the switch? I’d hook up the switch to ignition wire and then the lighting wire to the rocker switch? Anything else? Do I need to ground the switch if ignition wire and Oracle light is grounded elsewhere? Most rockers have three prongs on the back, just leave one empty or look for a two prong switch? Sorry if I’m over thinking this
