Take the Tacoma to a detail/PDR shop before trying to trade it. $1k spent correcting the damage could bring you $2-3k more.

Well, before you do that. Go get e real world offer from Carmax or something. Not a tentative online offer.

Might be a good idea to clean it up. I know an auto body guy. Needless to say I did not fit there.

You learned a lot though Omni. And now it’s built, not bought.
I sure did. I learned a lot along the way, and I would like to get into building these things. I have a buddy with a CJ5 who has plans for this and plans for that. I want to talk him into letting me build the thing. He buys the parts, I'll do the work just to have the chance to build another Jeep. I'm an artist, and this is just another way of doing art.

(Also, I just shaved my beard and my head for the first time in about 30 years. I'm trying a different look. Also, I'm fat! :CWL: :CWL: :CWL: )

Reason I considered the willys is my friend has one and the LSD isn’t a locker but man, that thing works good. On 37s, its had no issues doing the rubicon and dusy ershim. Something that my taco with lockers would struggle with.
I just went through that myself. I have factory 3.45 gears, which sucked stock, and they're miserable on my 35s. I'm regearing, and now is the time to add lockers if I want lockers. The thing is, the LSD works great.

The shop I'm getting to do the regear said if I ever do manage to kill the clutch packs and render my LSD useless, he will sell me a replacement for about $600 that he will warranty for the lifetime of the vehicle. Screw it. I'm not adding a locker in the rear, and I've been warned against adding a locker up front unless I delete the FAD, so I'm just going to keep rolling on the stock setup. I have yet to actually get a wheel spinning, even though front and rear lockers are theoretically a much better setup. This thing has just been a BEAST.

The key to unlocking the beastly potential of any stock Jeep is to just disconnect the damn front sway bar. It makes oceans of difference. If the wheels all stay planted, wheel spin just isn't that likely to happen. I don't know what kind of fscked up situation it would take to actually get a wheel off the ground, but it would be worse than driving beyond the edge of a cliff, or taking it up on a rock on the high side of a bank at 26° side to side.

PS - When you get your Jeep, get the Apex AutoLynx. I'm not a corporate shill. I just believe in my heart that everyone who disconnects wants a set of those. They're marvelous! They're 233,713,473,937,442.07% better than quick disconnects.

Yeah, you don’t want them to dislike it. Then they will only give you auction value, as they won’t want to mess with it.

Figured I’d update this thread as I went along! Just about sold all my aftermarket mods that I hadn’t put on the taco. One of which was a set of FOX x14” shocks, Shock towers, wheels, and other little bits. Ordered new fenders That trashed in cougar buttes, and got in contact with someone to fix the dent on the door. Rock crawling a Tacoma on 33s came with a few casualties lol.

That has proximity keyless entry which I don't think you can order on a Willy's unless you change your doors selection.
