Oil Life Question

Hey there, have a 2.0 JLU 2019. Using fully synth oil. About 4k since last oil change and the system popped up a change oil message. Now the sticker says 4k left, and I usually do every 8000km. Is the system actually reading the oil and this is legit? It's been cold AF in Toronto. Any insight

Are you sure the oil life indicator was reset at last oil change? 4000km seems awfully low regardless of driving regime.
