Well, I now know how to remove the carpet after yesterday.......

And I can put the top and all four doors on by myself in 50 minutes. Ugh. Boring with top on.

Now I'm heading to toledo. Hopefully it's not a rain out

.... anyone know of any in NE Ohio?

.... Heading to Southington on Saturday for my second off-road experience! .....
I was also going to mention Southington Off Road Park. That's the nearest thing to any trails around here that are well known.
If you're just looking to get muddy, you can also check out Yankee Lake in Brookfield. It's more of just a mud pit that people drive through, so I'd recommend SOR if you're looking to actually drive around a bit.

If you are up for a drive to get to the trails, check out the Badge of Honor program on Jeeps site (and related app). The nearest trails that you can earn a badge on is in PA and VA. The PA trail is Rausch Creek (Crawl Daddy), and VA is George Washington National Forest (Peters Mill Run), both of which are rated easy/moderate so something you can likely do stock or lightly modded.

Oh, and yes, N.E. Ohio here too.

Since this is a bunch of fellow Ohioans. I'd like opinions.
I just bought a decal plotter/cutter and I'm going to make a decal for my Jeep (starting small to learn the ropes before making the big one I have planned).
I've drawn up 2 decals, with a Jeep inside an Ohio outline. Which looks better. The free floating flag or the flag attached to a pole on the Jeep? Or should I try something different altogether?

Really love these designs and I have to say I like the first one just a bit more. It appears more balanced visually to me. Really tough call!

I just added good ol’ stars and stripes to the front sides of my hood yesterday and was thinking about adding some Ohio pride to the back. If you’re planning on selling these as white outlined, let me know!

I like the second one, but don't listen to me. I'm not a decal guy!

Thanks. I initially drew it up with just the Jeep. It looked like it was missing something so I added the flag to balance it a bit. I had my wife look at it and she asked if I could make it so it looked like the flag was attached to the Jeep. After doing that I was torn, because both good.
I also though about doing the second one, and adding "jlwranglerforums" above the Jeep/flag but didn't want to violate any sort of forum policy or copyright issues, so scrapped that idea. In retrospect it may have been a bit busy anyway.

And yes, if you want one I'll be able to do it in white. I'll be out of town for training this week, but should be able to give this a go when I get back. I'll post a picture of mine when I cut it and get it put on.

Here it is. I had to take the stars off the flag and lugs off the wheels because I made it 3" and they were too small for that scale. Turned out pretty well though, but I'm obviously a little biased. ;)

Looks great! Perfect size and location - seeing it on the Jeep, I definitely dig the flag riding on the back. Nice work!

Soon to be another Ohio Jeep decal out there. Now that I've plotted this decal, I'm considering swapping mine to that style. I like that this design made the flag big enough to allow the starts to be put on.

Must be my lucky day! In the mail, waiting for me, I got a replacement Amex card because #@$!*#@ from California stole my card number AND this super awesome decal from Shots!

I did go wheeling today at Southington (still highly recommend Ohio/PA friends go there - let me know... let’s wheel together!) but I carefully cleaned off this spot above my license plate to show off my Ohio pride.

Absolutely love the sticker, Shots! Very very nice work! I’m extremely picky about decals, but this one is more than great enough.

I am going to either remove the Ganley emblem or Plasti Dip it soon so the sticker will be even more prominent. :)

Cheers!

OUTSTANDING!!!!! I'm glad you're happy with it. Definitely need to do something with the Ganley emblem (though they are great, that's where we bought my wife's Grand Cherokee).
So I saw a TON of Jeeps heading toward Southington yesterday. I've considered going but having a completely stock Jeep I didn't want to mess anything up. Are there trails there, that a complete novice, with a stock Jeep can handle?

Yeah actually a line of 5 or 6 Jeeps passed me on the highway heading there so I just joined in :)

As for trials, YES! There are actually stock friendly trails. And actually my Jeep is near stock too. I have 31.5” BFG AT KO2, rock rails (I don’t think I’ve “used” them yet) and a front skid plate, but that’s more for aesthetic because I didn’t like the front air dam.

Actually this time, I ran into a couple guys who said I could hang out with them and we went a pretty tricky trail. It was definitely thrilling and a little scary but was a blast.

If folks would like to try it out early October (next time they’re open) id love to for you to join me! I can take us through some of the stock trails. Also learned, wheeling with other people, you’re much more capable. No problem getting stuck since they could get me out (and I got them unstuck too)!

Edit: the Ganley emblem has been removed. Just needed some floss and today’s sunshine :) so much cleaner look.

Removal of dealership emblems/sticker is always the 1st thing I do. However, a license plate frame, or hitch cover with their logo on it, I'm fine with. Don't put your advertisement on my paint!!!

So you got stuck eh? Not enough traction (mud) or did you bottom out (deep ruts)?
I actually work with a guy who's management there. I told him about you taking a stock JL out, and he told me there were stock friendly trails too. When in October is the next meet? I generally work weekends so I'd have to plan ahead to try to get the day off if possible.
