Ok. Need some help as I’ve gotten too much advice. I am looking at XD134 in either a 17x8.5 0 offset or 17x9 18mm offset and will mount 317/70r17 ko2 tires.

Which wheel do I purchase? I have a 2” lift. I do not want excessive poke outside the fenders.

Here is my understanding. If I am wrong, I am quite sure it will be pointed out in blinding speed and harshness... :)

The 9"/+18 offset wheel will stick out less based on the fact that the 8.5"/0 offset wheel has 4.75" of backspace and the 9"/+18 offset wheel has about 5.75" of backspace (can be easily found by googing "wheel backspace and offset chart"). For comparison the 7.5"/+44 offset stock wheels have about 6" of backspace. Also, according to the website willtheyfit.com, the 8.5" wheel will poke out 56.7mm/2.25" and the 9" wheel will poke out 45.1mm/1.75" more than stock. Hope this helps.

Before I do something really stupid -

Jeep Wrangler JL Offset question XD wheels offset

If I want more "lip" on the outside of the wheels I go to the smallest backspace? Correct?

Also, assuming I do this it would increase the width of the wheelbase and probably extend past the fenders. Would it also make it harder on the wheel itself?
