On my 2023 Rubicon 3.0L Diesel the oil temperature data on the "Off Road Page" oil temperature gauge varies up to 20 degrees when above 200 from the OBDII data. Coolant temperature track between the two gauges within a couple of degrees. When the Off Road Page oil temperature hits 245 the OBDII temp is around 220. The 245 oil temperature will cause the engine to go into "limp mode". When it goes into Limp mode the coolant temperature is around 220 degrees. The engine error code is P00AF when it goes into limp mode. Vehicle sold new in Jan 2025. First time this happened at 7K miles the turbo was replaced. 1K miles later it happened again. This time the ECM was replaced. Last time I was watching the Off Road Page gauge oil temp hit 245 and it went into limp mode. Therefore I don't think it has anything to do with the turbo.
Is my oil temperature sender bad ? Where does the OBDII get it's data from? Why the difference between the two ?

interesting... I'll have to take a look at mine to see if they are in sync. I'm pretty sure I've pulled up the oil temp in the center display before but not the offroad pages.

I wouldn't expect there would be different oil temp senders. Maybe there's a problem on the CAN bus?
