The best new vehicle I've bought was a '94 GMC that was in stock at their dealer in Houston. It had 250 miles on it when it arrived the next day in Austin. They had a driver deliver it. Never had an issue with it in 136k miles. Even if I went to Houston to buy it, I would have put those miles on it driving back home.
My current Jeep had 26 miles on it. I put 7 on test driving it. No big deal, never been back to the dealer.
My wife's Wagoneer had 1,700 miles on it when we bought it. A manager at a partner dealership was driving it. Got nearly 10k off that deal. Zero issues in nearly 2 years.
My 2015 F150 had 3 miles on it, and while it has had zero actual issues in 8 1/2 years, it has it's fair share recalls.
I bought a new Chevy truck in '99 that had 30 miles on it. It was nothing but trouble, issues after issue. The dealer got tired of me and I got tired of the truck and traded it less than a year after I bought it.
Don't make having more than 10 miles an issue. A good dealer will fully prep the vehicle to include a test drive of a few miles. Most dealers these days pull the plastic off the seats, drive it through a rolling brush car wash, spray a bunch of nasty tire shine all over the tires and bumpers, and call it good.
