is there no really no fuel filter on a 2.0L DI. Is this engineering at its best?

It is just scary thinking something as small as 10 microns under pressure can chew through steel in seconds. On the 2003-2007 Cummins diesel, Dodge refused to use 2 micron filtration as suggested by Cummins and used 10 micron instead. Those years had high injector failures that resulted in catastrophic engine failures. I am a proponent of good fuel filtering. Maybe the aftermarket will come up with something.

Lot different injection pressure too. 26k rail pressure can’t handle the imperfections as well as our relatively low fuel pressure jeeps

It is my understanding that DI engines are using fuel pressures in excess of 2200psi in a common rail systems much like a diesel. 10 micron particles under this pressure can do horrible damage to steel parts. I am sure Jeep sells high pressure pumps and injectors at really reasonable rates, when they fail.

Yup. Missed that you had the 2.0. Welcome to 2900 psi rail pressure.
