Shopping for a JL to replace my JK (or maybe have 2?).

Looking at a few different options - 2021 diesel rubicons, loaded out, 20k miles (ish) for 50-52K. Other Rubicons I've found nearby are 2019's with higher miles (60-70K), 3.6 V6, loaded out as well for mid/high 30's.

After reading the forums I'm a bit skittish on the diesel engine - seems they have intermittent issues and reliability isn't the greatest. The 3.6 also has issues, but seemingly a better rep.

The plan is some easy wheeling around central FL, 37" tires, and supporting mods.

What would you go with, and why?

2.0t and 4xe hands down. Hp, tq, everything. However if you plan on building get a base and spend out of pocket on build.

I love diesel and would be driving one if it was available in the JL. Love mine in my Ram. With that said, with todays fuel prices the 2.0 wins every time. Great power and excellent fuel economy (for a Jeep). Around here diesel is running $2/gallon More than regular (which is all my 2.0 has ever had and runs great on). From all I’ve seen and read the diesel and the 2.0 will get similar mpg’s in the Jeep. No way you’d ever recoup the extra fuel costs alone, not to mention higher overall maintenance costs. 2.0 for the win.
