Hello all!

So I traded in my JK for a JL about 5 months ago. I love my JL but haven’t been without issues. I have had the following repaired under warranty so far:

-Steering dampener
-Passenger side seat frame replaced
-Rear back up camera rewired
-stereo would freeze up, somewhat fixed.

Today I had a new issue. I plugged in my phone after I turned on my vehicle. I put my car in reverse, the backup camera activated, then it was overtaking by the CarPlay feature.

I then put my vehicle in drive and the backup camera reactivated. It stayed on my whole 15 drive and didn’t turn off until I turned of my vehicle.

I’m hesitant to call my dealer because they’ve told me on different occasions if they can’t replicate the issue, they can’t do anything.

Any one else have the same issue?

I have had the camera stay on after backing up twice. I am guessing there might me some sort of micro switch on the shifter that did not activate.
If I stopped and restsrted the car it cleared up the problem.

Hello! We can check for any service bulletins that might apply as well. Feel free to send us a private message if you'd like to discuss further.
