New Battery Installation

I have a 2023 jl 2dr Rubicon, 3.6l etorque. (no aux battery) My stock battery is dying and I just purchased a performance Odyssey H7. While it is charging up, is there anything I need to be concerned about when installing the new battery? When I disconnect and reconnect are there any electric/computer glitches, or is it just a straight forward remove and replace?

Your radio and options may not come back right away. Itll be fine just drive it and do a few key cycles and it should come back.

If you need to reset your screen, you can also hold the screen power button and radio tune buttons at the same time and hold them for about 10 seconds to reset it.

I lost the main screen “security code” required. Contrary to reports even by the service writer the vin# to parts couldn’t get it. After failing to retrieve it he called the computer tech to try, nope. Wouldn’t reset without the security code, $110 to pull the radio for the serial # on the back to get it. … This may not be common but happens. If you don’t want to gamble keep the system powered. This is one option, others are battery powered.

Some mfg’s supply the code with the vehicle. I was also told a 9V battery connected to the cables works when I posted the “battery nightmare” thread.
