Ok, I put these on today. After trying multiple locations, I honestly don't think the wheel well look is for me.
These lights are solid, and they even look good when visible (stainless hex bolts, aluminum housing), and I really wanted to use them.
So, I went a different direction. While I may not utilize the amber much, I decided to make a mini light bar to mount up as supplemental back up lighting. I have a dual exhaust and the space in between, where a trailer hitch would mount, looked like just the right size.
Don't make fun of my ghetto fabulous idea here. I used a piece of PVC pipe, and ran the wires inside so it would look clean. The wires were a little short for this, as they aren't all intended for the back, but I soldered in a short length at the other end to reach the ground and battery.
I mounted the switch in the a pillar cover along with the switch for my KC flex 3 lights. I like the look there.
These lights are pretty bright, and I like the way this project turned out.
