I know this question has been asked a zillion times.. what backspacing and offset do I need to keep 37x12.5 under stock fender flares? no lift XR 392.

I don't do much off roading and I'm just trying to put on some 37s. .

My question is what backspacing do I need to fit 37 WITHOUT poking out of XR fender flares. To my understanding -12 offset (17x9, 4.3" BS) will poke out 1-2inches.

On other posts I see people talking about +25offset (17x8.5, 5.7 BS) will keep the 37s tucked in without rubbing?? Wheels like AEV Borah. (was about to order them and found a guy in fb saying he's rubbing in the front).

I watched ton of youtube videos about these and still these numbers don't add up. All tire shops I call say I have to get -12 offset. I'm so confused.

I would think your factory offset should work. I believe XR offset is +12mm. Your factory tires should be close to the same width. 315mm = 12.4 inches

Thanks for the input. I see everyone talking about running spacers with XR wheels (17x8 with 5" BS or +12 offset) due to rubbing issues.

Going from factory 35 KO2 to 37 Nitto same width, Do I need a less or more than 5BS?
