Hello all…
I have a 2019 2dr and tow a camping trailer. I have brakes on the trailer but don’t need them. I ended up taking the break control box off and cut the wires to it. This was in the past. Today I decided to remove the manual break handle… that lead to taking the tongue cover off to see if I can relocate the trailer harness cable to under the tongue cover so I would have room for a step on the tongue.
So that leads to me cutting the extra wires left that went to the old break controller as I was cleaning up the wiring. I’m assuming those three wires are white (ground), blue (electric brakes), and red (brakes). When I cut those, I forgot the harness was plugged into the jeep. Since then the power and lights to trailer stopped. I assumed I blew a fuse when cut the red blue and white wires at once with a metal wire cutter.
My trailer harness doesn’t show any power to any of the 7 pins. The harness is from mopar but was installed aftermarket. It’s been great up until I messed it up lol. I made a quick glance at the fuse box but didn’t see anything. Could the nafta ecu that goes in the taillight go bad? The nafta ecu comes with the mopar kit. I’m not sure if there are any fuses I could have missed. Thoughts?
