I built a 2023 Jeep Rubicon 2 door, it arrived October of 2022 and I have a little over 5,000 miles. I wasn’t driving it much because I was waiting for the summer months to enjoy my Jeep.. unfortunately, several months back I began to hear a loud ticking noise coming from the rear of the car on the driver side when I turned the vehicle off. It has been to the dealer three times and still it has not been fixed. They replaced the resonator but that didn’t work, they seem to be baffled as to what the problem is. Customer service Jeep wave has not been any help and iam so disappointed, frustrated and so afraid to drive my Jeep that it’s been such a horrible experience. I had a 2019 Jeep that I loved and only decided to build one because I could not find a two door in the sarge green which I was obsessed with, now I don’t even enjoy looking at it now… any advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Can you post a video of the noise you are hearing?

How long does it do it? Like a couple to 5 minutes? Sounds like a hot exhaust system cooling off. The dealer should be able to figure that out. But if the Jeep drives fine, I'd keep driving and not worry...

It sounds like the normal cooling off of a vehicle after it's turned off, except your ticking is a bit louder than normal. So maybe a bolt is loose somewhere. But I wouldn't be afraid to drive it. Go to an exhaust shop or a Jeep specialist and have them track down what needs to be tightened or adjusted to prevent rubbing.

My 2.0 turbo make the same noises. Really stands out when I park it in my garage. Definitely the sound of a hot exhaust cooling off. Or it could be a bunch of tiny people mining for steel

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong. And I've heard other vehicles that weren't Jeeps make this noise as well. Go enjoy your Jeep and have fun!

Yes but it's a Jeep, not a Lexus. Have a trusted mechanic listen to the noise. It could also be that your volume is just turned way up in your recording, and it's not loud at all.

I agree with the others. It sounds like a cooling exhaust system. These noises are more pronounced on new vehicles with fewer heat cycles. 5,000 miles is pretty dang new, still. Certain components of the exhaust system run in the range of 1,000F. When you shut off the Jeep, all that metal starts to cool and contract, and that's what makes the "ticking" noise you describe.

Pay attention to other people's vehicles after they shut them off (unless they're electric!). I guarantee you will hear similar noises!
