Has anyone been up in the Naches area? Headed up there next weekend and a little concerned about the snow level. Looks like the Naches Pass trail doesn't open until JULY!!
Looking for any info about these areas:
Bethel Ridge: Fish and Wildlife says its open curious about road conditions
Funny Rocks: Never been there
Manashtash Lake area: Long hike to lake?

Any current info would be great.

Yes, correct on Naches Pass. PNW4WDA Region 2 is having a fun run on this trail on 23 Aug. DELETEhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1332886201122870 (forum seems to dislike Facebook post so delete the "DELETE" if you want to see the event)
The east side of the trail is open but you need to make sure you don't cross to the west side as they are actively ticketing people that go on the closed section.

Not familiar with Bethel Ridge.
I've seen Manashtash Lake from the ridge but never been to it.

I've been to Funny Rocks and nearby Moon Rocks. It's a small fun play area that allows you to take multiple lines at various difficulty. I suggest you go with at least one other vehicle because it's easy to make a mistake and get stuck or damage your vehicle.

Did you enjoy the Tahuya video? ;)

South cascades snow pack was just below normal this season. Guessing Bethel and Natches will not be passable until late June early July.

Manastash should be good now or in the next couple of weeks.

Just guesses as I’ve haven’t been to any of these this year.

I’m a FB member of WABDR For 4x4s. There was a report this last week that section 2 of the BDR is clear - this includes Bethel Ridge. Just a few snow patches.
My personal experience with that side of the Cascades, is snow is usually cleared from the WABDR by mid-June. For years now, I’ve been doing an annual camping trip off of WABDR-4 near Chumstick Mountain the week before Father’s Day. That area is 5-6k feet elevation. Section 4 has always been clear for me at elevation.

What a trip! Weather was perfect, people were great, and the pizza at Bon YR Aur Brewing was fantastic (their beer is good too).
As for the woods, Bethel Ridge is open and free of snow. We put boots on Naches Pass trail but there are still snow drifts and a lot of water on the trail.
