If you’re in the market, I picked up this Grimm Offroad winch plate for about $320 out of pocket. The install video I found was a little dated (reusing factory bolts) and I felt it left out some of the real install delays you might come across. Some of these tips will help speed up your install, keep your winch power cable routing clean looking, and another tip at the end that might be helpful depending on the winch you chose.
If you have the factory steel bumper, removed the end caps, and do not like the fog light wiring being exposed to branches, rocks, & mud, then the next video might be one you want to look out for. I’ll show you how to mold ABS sheet plastic to make covers/blockoff panels to protect and give the exposed back a finished appearance. Plus, I believe I’m the first to actually use a simple but creative way to make clearance for the fog light wiring itself. That way there’s no abrasion possibility from the cover on the wiring.
