I tried installing the rock rails i bought but the mounting bolts were too tight. i borrowed a torsion bar and will try again to remove them. My question is should i put loctite or something on the threads when i replace the mounting bolts? Never had a wrangler before so just curious

Ace Engineering recommends you use medium strength / Blue Loctite and to torque the 4 body bolts on a 2dr. JL to 80 ft/lb.

You might want to read the Ace Slider install thread in DIY. Very helpful info there that you will surely want to know.

thanks a lot. I will borrow a torque wrench (I was curious about that part). That is a lot of good info... I don't know how I missed it on the forum. I really appreciate it.
