More JLU pics finally (with Interior)

The one item I see that angers me is that they are still re-using the same damn door locks in the same stoopid ‘hit it with my knee when driving on the dead-pedal or foot on floor’ spot as the current JK.
I’ve unlocked the door about 50+ times a year on my JKUs because of that stoopid thing !!

I was hoping that would get updated to less easily brushed up against design, or moved to another location, but earlier JL interior shots had it blocked by the steering wheel, like the other interior shot in this thread.

You must have long legs like me. Not that big of a deal for me, but I agree wish they would have put them in another location. It looks like the alloy shifter surround(prob painted plastic.) is surrounding the letters on the actual shifter. I would think it would be around the actual 4wd lever, or on the lever itself like the JK?

Re the red trimmed interior, looks like they might have taken a page from the Ram Rebel which has red trimmed dash, stitching and seat trim. Wife really liked this on her truck, one of the reasons she bought it. Me, well....... what's that saying, happy wife, happy life.....

Plus, don't think that's a shift pattern on top, and it has a little button on the side (likely to defeat OD).
Unless... This is an early mule and the longer shift lever was unavailable.

It looks like the alloy shifter surround(prob painted plastic.) is surrounding the letters on the actual shifter. I would think it would be around the actual 4wd lever, or on the lever itself like the JK?

Both the Auto and the Manual would have the transmission shift pattern on the shifter, and the transfer case would have is on the side, in the image it almost seems like both shifters have a crystal on top with no numbers or letters (see below for zoomed in image).

Here’s the earlier test mule auto with the shift pattern on top, the auto button is a bit more substantial than the pinky sized one in this thread’s image, and I doubt after all the GC issues they’d want something that finicky. Almost all of them have been redesigned to be obvious when engaged.

I could be wrong, but of the two options it looks closer to a manual transmission to me than an auto.

Actually looks like split lenses with the inboard having an amber bulb (turn signals) and a clear outer (daytime running lights?).

its covered with camo. The only time we ever really saw it was on the leaked image of the red jeep and then the leaked image of the body panels. I dont remember seeing it anywhere else other than the leaked rendering. Before the current jeeps shots we are seeing, they had the bags over the front and rear, so we definitely never saw them there.

Pretty good indication that they are non-essential.

LEDs appear to be a package option (headlights too but not 100% with taillights tho pictures appear to show LED tails). With the cost of Wranglers as is....LEDs should be standard.

Also I would be shocked if the dash didnt come in multiple colors.
