Red loctite? Really? Passenger side took an hour to remove. Luckily my driver side bolt must have been a Friday quitting time bolt because that one came out with little fuss. To anyone that must remove the body mount bolts:
- Heat with MAP, try to focus as much as you can on the bolt head. Keep an eye on the isolator. If it starts to melt stop.
- Go super slow, if it's binding at all, stop. Reverse half a turn then go back at it. I ended up doing the whole thing with a breaker bar to help keep up with rotation.
- Watch your bolt deflection. If you're flexing the bolt a lot it's too much torque. A shallow well socket is best unless your deep well has full length flutes
- Go slow! Seriously, an hour to get the passenger side, but that beats trying to extract a red loctited broken bolt from the body.
