Hey Benny @AllMoparParts.com ,
I’ve seen in these forums where you’re the go to for referencing Mopar part numbers. I bought a used 2021 JLU Wrangler Rubicon with a spare tire delete kit installed already. I am wanting to add back a spare tire carrier, but I need the factory camera housing and mount bracket, which I do not have. It appears the only way to get this part is by ordering the full spare tire assembly from Mopar. I’m running 37s on this Jeep, so I’m looking to install reinforced brackets as well to support the weight from the hinges.

Do you have a part number for this bracket alone? It is the bracket that has the three mounting lugs for the wheel and the cone housing for the rear camera.

Thank you for your help,
Nick

Have you checked salvage yards around you for this part?

It might be cheaper to go aftermarket and get an HD tire carrier.

I’m looking at aftermarket and so far the Teraflex Alpha is the only one that I’ve found that does not use the factory camera housing. That housing is attached to a plate with the three lugs for the spare. All of the aftermarket ones that I’ve found so far do not come with that part. Even the Mopar oversized one doesn’t look like it comes with that part

CavFab and Motobilt are two other options. The Teraflex Alpha is probably the cleanest solution.

Hi Nick,
That bracket is part of the tire carrier itself. As some have suggested you may be able to score a used one alot cheaper, If you need your specific harness then send me your VIN and I can look that up as there are a few variations

Benny,
Thanks for the confirmation. They rerouted the camera and 3rd brake light to be used in the delete kit, so I would expect they’ll continue to use those when installing the carrier. If I run into some other issues with it, I’ll definitely come back. 😬

Thank you all for the help!
Nick
